DU 5th Cut off 2019: Delhi University Announces 5th Cutoff List for UG Program

Delhi University released the fifth cut-off on Friday, in which the nominal seats in colleges were left to the students of most reserved category. The University has seen more than 67000 enrollments for its 62,000 undergraduates seats so far. Although most colleges have seats in reserved categories, there are few where students of unreserved categories can still apply in popular courses.

BA (Hons) in Economics, English, Journalism, Political Science, B.Sc. and BCom (Hons) in Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) seats for students of unreserved category.

DCAC Principal Rajeev Chopra said, "There are about 200 seats remaining in our college, so we have to keep the courses open. We are helpless because students are canceling their admission. We closed the political science and history, but due to cancellation, it had to be opened again. '

College like Kirronimal, Atmaram Sanatan Dharma College and Kamala Nehru College are still offering BA (Hons) in Economics and English, which are the most demanded courses this year. Hindu College (97.75%) and Shri Ram College of Commerce (98.62%) also have BA (Hons) seats in economics for students of unreserved categories.

Principals of many colleges said that due to the students going from one course to the second course, too many cancels have to be done and hence the seats are being opened.

Hindu College Principal Anju Shrivastava said, "We have very few seats in economics and BCom (Hons). We can not cut the cut-off very much because then there will be crowds for admission. So after the deliberations, we put the same cut-off as the fourth list, because there are approximately two or three seats remaining in both the courses.
