The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has opposed the passing of the National Medical Commission Bill-2013 in the Lok Sabha. IMA has called for a strike today, ie today, from 6 am to 24 hours, keeping the non-essential services interrupted throughout the country. The IMA has told the doctors that they will strike from 6am on Wednesday morning the next day from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. However, Emergency, Trauma, ICU and related services will continue to run. IMA has said that their fight against the National Medical Commission Bill-2015 will continue.

The IMA says that this bill will make medical education expensive in medical colleges. This bill states that the management of medical colleges will be able to sell more than 50 percent of the seats at a higher rate. Apart from this, under Section 32 of this bill, there is a provision under which there will be licenses for about 3.5 lakh non-medical education people. That is, neem-hakimi will be promoted, it will endanger people's lives. The IMA said that the word "Community Health Provider" has not been defined correctly. According to this, now nurse, pharmacist and paramedics will be able to practice with modern medicines. However, they are not trained for it.

Medical Advisory Council will be formed: The Central Government will set up a Medical Advisory Council, which will give states a chance to keep their problems and suggestions about medical education and training. At the same time, this council will also give new suggestions for better improvement in medical education.

There will be only one examination of medical: only one examination will be taken for admission to medical colleges across the country as soon as this law is enforced. The name of this examination will be the National Eligibility Low Entrance Test (NEET).

After the completion of medical studies, doctors will have to give another test for medical practice. Only after getting it will get the license of Medical Practice. Based on this test, admission will be made in post-graduation. But doctors say that if a student can not take an exit exam once, then he has no other option. This bill does not have the option of the second exam.

The Medical Council of India will end: The Medical Council of India will end when this law comes. The services of its officials and employees will also end. They will get 3 months salary and allowances. After this, the National Medical Commission will be formed. Officers of the Medical Council of India were appointed from the election but will be selected by a government-commissioned committee in the medical commission.

Fees for private medical colleges will be decided: National Medical Commission will fix fees for private medical institutes, but only 40% seats will be decided. Private institutions can decide themselves on 50 percent or more seats.

Doctor of Ayurveda-Homeopathy Allopathic treatment: A bridge course will be done under this bill, after which the doctors of Ayurveda and homeopathy will also be able to get allopathic treatment. The IMA of this point is openly opposing.

Medical Research will be promoted: The National Medical Commission will ensure that high degree doctors come at both the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in medical education. Along with that, medical professionals will be encouraged to do new medical research for the purpose.
