Ali Abbas Zafar, Gaurav Solanki and Himanshu Mehra appeared before the UP Police after the upheaval over the web series ‘Tandav’. However, it was not yet clear how the Amazon executives, the rest of the actors and Saif Ali Khan have been questioned. Four police officers returned to UP on Friday evening.

The team returned a day earlier
The same team of UP police returned empty-handed from Ali’s house a day earlier. They had not met Ali at home, so a notice was put on his house. In the notice, Ali was asked to appear before the investigating officer in Lucknow on 27 January. His house was locked and no one was present, so the notice was pasted outside his house.
FIR was held in Hazratganj

Several people, including Amazon’s content head, series director, producer and writer, were accused at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow after a controversy over a scene pictured on Zeeshan Ayyub in ‘Tandav’. However, due to protests against the web series, complaints and demands to ban this web series is rising. Ali has also apologized through social media posts.
The scene has been removed

The disputed scene of ‘Tandav’ has been removed. Amazon Prime took this decision after two rounds of meetings with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. However, the Bombay High Court has granted advance bail to Web series’ director Ali Abbas Zafar, producer Himanshu Mehra, writer Gaurav Solanki and Amazon content head Aparna Purohit. All the accused have got time for the next three weeks. So, for now, the UP police could not arrest them.
