Oil companies increased the price of diesel in Delhi and Kolkata by 5 paise per liter on Friday. Similarly, the price of diesel in Mumbai and Chennai increased by 6 paise per liter. This is the second consecutive day when diesel prices have increased.
At present, the price of diesel in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai has gone up to 65.96 rupees, 67.71 rupees, 69.11 rupees, and Rs. 69.72 per liter after new hikes. However, petrol prices have received relief of 8 to 9 paisa per liter. Petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai are eight paise, while Chennai has lost 9 paise. The new price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 71.26 per liter. Similarly, 73.32 rupees, 76.87 rupees and 73.97 rupees per liter have arrived.
According to market analysts, after the election results, the price of oil can increase up to Rs 3 to 4 rupees. In fact, the benchmark crude oil in the international market remained brent for over $ 70 a barrel over the past few days. Earlier, the US Petroleum Institute had recently released a report saying that the amount of crude oil stock in the US increased by 86 million barrels. Following the report, the crude oil crisis in the international market had stopped on Wednesday. Due to which there was slight relief in petrol and diesel also. Although Brent Crude's price still remained above $ 71 a barrel.
