Petrol and diesel prices were down for the sixth consecutive day on Tuesday. Oil companies cut the price of petrol by 7 paise, and diesel by 20-22 paise per liter. In these six days, the national capital of Delhi has got 63 paise per liter of petrol and diesel 1 rupee 13 paise per liter.

Oil companies cut petrol prices by 7 paisa a liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai on Tuesday, while diesel prices in Delhi and Kolkata dropped by 20 paise, 21 paise in Mumbai and 22 rupees in Chennai.

According to IndianOil website, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have come down to Rs 71.23, Rs 73.47, Rs 76.91 and Rs 74.01 per liter, respectively. If we talk about prices of diesel at the same time, the prices of these four cities have come down to Rs 65.56, Rs 67.48, Rs 68.76 and Rs 69.36 per liter respectively.

Petrol and diesel prices are expected to fall further in the coming days. Energy expert Narendra Taneja says that after the recent fall in crude oil prices in the international market, the price of petrol and diesel will be reduced in India, which will provide relief to the common consumers.

They said that the rate of inflation or slowdown in crude oil prices in the international market is seen in India at around two weeks after the price of petrol and diesel. Let us tell you that the price of crude oil is being seen in the international market for 7 days. Meanwhile, the price of Benchmark crude oil Brent crude has dropped by about $ 10 a barrel.
