Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Review: Know if to Buy this Tab or Not?

Samsung has recently launched its flagship tab Galaxy Tab S6 in the Indian market. After using this tablet for a few weeks, it seems that the company could have made it the overall best tablet, because it has a lot of potential. In many respects, this tablet is excellent, but some of its things are also not right.

In this review, we will give you a review of Galaxy Tab S6, which will make it easier for you to decide whether you should take this tab or not. Since there are only a few companies in India that launch good tabs. Smartphone is the centric market, so some companies also avoid launching their tabs here.

Design and Build Quality

The design and build quality of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 completely justifies its price. This tab looks very premium. It is quite slim and its build quality is superb. It weighs 420 grams and is quite easy to hold due to the curved edge.

In the front side of the tab you will notice at least bezels. S Pen (Stylus) has been given with this tablet. A place has been made for this on the back panel of the tablet where it fits. For this, the magnetic panel has been used so that it does not fall from its place.

If you compare it to the iPad Pro, then perhaps you will find the bezels given in it a bit thick. You can buy the keyboard separately and it is quite easy to attach. You can also attach the mouse to it. It has four Dolby Atmos speakers and a USB Type C port for connectivity.

There are two cameras on the back panel which are in the corner. The LED flash has not been given which the company should have kept. There is only one camera in the front and it also has the option of ultra wide.

The design and build quality of the keyboard is quite solid and it is also easy to use. The layout of the keyboard is small, but it is easy to use. This is not a backlit keyboard, ie the keyboard will not lit in the dark. A trackpad has also been provided in the keyboard which is quite smooth to use. However, you do not get much function in the trackpad which is given by a standard laptop.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has a 10.5-inch Suner AMOLED display. Its aspect ratio is 16:10. Its resolution is (2560X1600). The display is really great and it has been a better experience to use it. The experience of watching films and series has also been very good. Since it has support for HDR 10+, your experience of watching Netflix content will also be good.

The screen is bright and colorful and the contrast is also good. Viewing angles are also correct. Use it by attaching it to the keyboard and keeping it a little away, you can still easily read word files or any article in it.

If you use it even in outdoor, then its display is such that you will not have any problem with it. From YouTube videos to gaming, its display has not disappointed.

Performance and software

Samsung has given Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor in this tablet. It has an option of 8GB and 6GB RAM. Storage is up to 256GB and you can also increase it through micro SD card. There is no problem in performance. The applications work well and multi tasking is also very smooth.

If you are a game freak, then gaming can also be reduced in a good way. Due to the high end processor and great display, our experience during gaming has also been good. With this you can browse the internet, prepare a presentation – you can also use many apps side by side. You can also use S Pen for this.

Talking about the software, the Galaxy Tab 6 has Android 9 Pie based Samsung One UI. DeX mode has also been given, which can be enabled by using it like a traditional computer. Usually, by enabling it, you will only use it by attaching the keyboard. Just like Samsung's smartphones, it has also given you features. Bixby also has support. The special thing is that if you have a Samsung smartphone, then you can reply to the call from this tab.

Galaxy Tab S6 is a tablet not a laptop and the DeX given in it also does not make this tablet such that it can replace the laptop. DeX has its own limits and you cannot do all the work with it from a traditional laptop. Not all apps work in Dex mode and perhaps the company will gradually support more and more apps in it. You can only do basic work on this mode.

For Word, you can use Google Doc and you can prepare for office by using many presentation apps. Talking about S Pen, it works accurately. It also has support for air action and Bluetooth. You can also use it as a tablet remote. For example, you can also click the selfie by pressing its button.

Overall, by mixing software and hardware, it gives excellent performance. But the limit is that you cannot do product based work. Whether photo video is advanced editing or you have to do many things at once, it is also not possible to a great extent in this. Basic work will be done. It is great for gaming, watching videos or movies, running the internet and social media.

Since this tab is better in every department, from the look and feel, then you can take it anywhere. As we have mentioned earlier, its display is its specialty.

Galaxy Tab S6 Battery Backup

The Galaxy Tab S6 has a 7,040mAh battery. Battery backup is fine. Full day backup is available easily. Generally the battery backup of the tablet is very less and if you look at it then it is fine in this case. You will be able to remove the full day backup only when you use it mixed. Internet browsing, social media, gaming and videos are all average usage throughout the day. If you will use heavy, will spend a few hours of continuous gaming or watch a movie, then you will not get a full day backup.

The price of Galaxy Tab S6 is Rs 59,999. If you need a tablet and want to buy the tablet at this price then you can buy it. But if you hope that by purchasing it, you will also work as a laptop, then obviously it cannot replace the laptop.
