Chinese smartphone maker Realme has made a good hold in the Indian smartphone market in a short time. This company is a subsidiary of Oppo and only last year the company started launching smartphones in India. The first smartphone was launched in May 2018. In a year itself, the company is at number 7 in the global smartphone market.

According to a new report by Counterpoint Research, Realme has sold 1 crore smartphones in the third quarter of 2019. In almost a year, the company has made a mark in the smartphone market in India and now it is the fastest growing smartphone company.

According to Counter Point Research, the company received 808% year on year growth from July to September. Realme smartphones are becoming popular in India and they are giving competition to other companies. Recently the company launched Realme C2, Realme 3i and Realme 5 and these have been the best selling in India during the third quarter of this year.

If we talk about Realme market share, according to CounterPoint Research, in Q3 of 2019, it is at number-4 in the smartphone market in India with 16% market share. In India, soon the company can knock in the smart TV market.

Significantly, Samsung is the global number-1 company in terms of shipment. Huawei is in second place and Apple on third. Chinese companies such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo remain intact over Realme. India and Indonesia are big markets for this company where 80% of the company smartphones are sold.
