Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets and made it to the final of the IPL for the eighth time. On Sunday 12th May Chennai will face Mumbai from Hyderabad. In the second qualifier of the IPL 12 season Dhoni's army broke the dream of playing the IPL for the first time in Delhi.

While batting first in the match played in Visakhapatnam, the Delhi Capitals team lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and scored 148 runs, with this the team gave target to CSK. In reply, Chennai Super Kings lost 4 wickets in 19 overs and scored 151 runs and made it to the final.

Chennai Super Kings has reached the finals in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2019. Out of which, 2010, 2011 and 2018 it had won the title. Super Kings are accustomed to playing in big matches, the team has won the title of IPL three times. While Dhoni's army has been a runner-up for four times.

Faf du Plessis (50 off 39 balls) and Shane Watson (50 off 32 balls) made half-centuries to Chennai's favor and added 81 runs for the first wicket to give the team a good start. The foundation of Chennai's victory was laid by his bowlers. On the other hand, Dwayne Bravo (two for 19 runs), Ravindra Jadeja (two for 23 runs), Deepak Chahar (2 for 28) and Harbhajan Singh (two for 31 runs) took two wickets each.

Rishabh Pant made 38 runs in 25 balls for Delhi, but in the meantime, he made two fours and a six. Apart from them, only Colin Munro (27 runs in 24 balls) reached 20 runs. The tail-end batsmen of Delhi scored 22 runs in the last eight balls to bring the team to some respectable score.
