Delhi Reports 414 Coronavirus Cases, Positivity Rate Dip to 0.53 Percent

In Delhi, 414 fresh cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the city remained below 1 percent for the sixth consecutive day. In addition, 1683 patients have recovered, while 60 people died in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number tally has now increased to 14.28 lakh. Out of these, 13.95 lakh people have been cured and 24,402 have died. Currently, there are 6,731 patients, who are undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, the positivity rate has also dipped to 0.53 percent.

On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference on Saturday on the existing COVID-19 situation in the national capital. During this, he informed about the government's plan to unlock Delhi. He said that the lockdown will continue in Delhi, but with certain relaxations.

More than 1.20 lakh cases reported in India

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 1,20,529 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 2,86,94,879. With 3,380 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 3,44,082.

The country also witnessed 1,97,894 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,67,95,549. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 93.38%. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.20%. There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 80,745. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 15,55,248. The active cases rate in India stands at 5.42%.
