Delhi Police Crime Branch Arrested a Spy of Pakistan Intelligence Agency

He was spying for Pakistan 's intelligence agency ISI as well as providing confidential documents related to the Indian Army.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested the accused of spying for Pakistan from Pokhran, Rajasthan. The accused has been identified as Habib Khan (48), a resident of Bikaner, Rajasthan. The accused was earlier taken into custody.

Spying for Pakistan

It is alleged that he was providing secret documents related to the Indian Army along with spying for Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. Preliminary investigation has revealed that he had recovered confidential documents from an officer of the Indian Army posted in the base camp of Pokhran Army.

It is also believed that the complicity of some more people and employees of the army may come to the fore.  Delhi Police refused to give official information about this. Delhi Police officials said that the suspected accused Habib Khan was living in Pokhran for a long time. He was working as a contractor in the Indian Army. He also had a contract to supply vegetables to Indira Kitchen operated in the Pokhran area.

Names revealed in Interrogation

At present, he had a contract to supply vegetables in the army area. Due to this, the accused had access to the army kitchen. It is being told that till a few months ago, he also came under the scanner of the army.
The Crime Branch team of Delhi Police had taken Habib Khan into custody on Tuesday after reaching Pokhran, Jaisalmer. The accused also used to meet ISI people and give them papers. He has also received money from ISI for providing confidential documents.

Habib has revealed the names of two-three people in the interrogation. Delhi Police was raiding many places along with army officers. Crime branch officials say that Habib Khan is only a member of the spying gang. The investigation, in this case, was going on till Wednesday night. Full details about it will be shared once the operation is completed. It is believed that the big network of espionage is about to be exposed.
