The Delhi High Court has refused to issue a guideline for the Delhi government in the sedition case involving Kanhaiya Kumar and Umar Khalid, former president of JNU. Hearing the petition, the High Court said that we do not see any reason to constitute a High Power Committee in this matter. The court said that as far as the question of giving sanction for prosecution in the case related to raising slogans related to treason in JNU is concerned, the government itself is able to work according to the rule of law.

The Delhi High Court was hearing a petition seeking direction from the court on the delay in the Delhi government not getting sanction for prosecution in the sedition case involving Kanhaiya Kumar, so that further delay in the case Don't be The court has disposed of this petition today.

Earlier, a petition was filed in the Delhi High Court against the former president of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Kanhaiya Kumar for not granting sanction for treason. In it, directions should be given from the court to set within a fixed time frame for hearing.

It was also stated in the petition that the Delhi government is not giving approval to prosecute treason within the stipulated time, while this law is wrong. Patiala House Court recently said that we expect the Delhi government to take its decision on this in a month.

In the sedition case, the Delhi Police had filed a charge sheet against Kanhaiya Kumar, former president of JNU Students' Union and other student leaders on January 14 this year, this charge sheet was also filed after 3 years.
