There was a clash between the Sikh Rural Service Driver and the Policemen outside the Mukherji Nagar police station on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, the driver took out the sword. After this, the policemen gathered and beat the driver and his son brutally on the road. For nearly half an hour, the police beat up the driver with a stick, rod.
The people present on the spot made a video of the beating of the driver and his son by the policemen. This video clip was viral on social media. Angry people blocked the inner ring road and demanded action against the policemen. After the video was viral on social media, a large number of Sikh community members came to the street and made a tremendous furor outside Mukherjee Nagar police station.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, from Gurudwara Sikh Committee, also came to the spot and demanded action against policemen for the attempt to murder and beating the Sikhs and the humiliation of the turban. After this, the DCP of the area late last night suspended the three policemen.
At the same time, according to the police, about 6:00 PM, there was a clash between the rural service driver and a policeman. The dispute increased so much that the rural service driver attacked the policeman, in which he was injured.
It can be seen in the video that in the incident, in the beginning, the Sikh driver took the law in his hands however the policemen in uniform were also seen man handling the situation.
