Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out an aerial strike on major terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The air strike was carried out by 12 Indian fighter jets in Pakistan's Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad. The IAF has also destroyed control rooms of Pakistan-based terror organization  Jaish-e-Mohammed, which had claimed the attack in Pulwama on 14 February.

Politicians across parties lauded the IAF's operation across the LoC.

A group of Mirage 2000 Indian F9 Indian Fighter jets dropped 1000 kg bombs on terror camps across the Line of Control (LOC).

India conducted a major preemptive strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed's biggest camp early Tuesday to prevent suicide attacks being planned by the Pakistan-based terror group, killing a large number of terrorists and trainers.

Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale also spoke on Indian air strike and revealed that a large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders were eliminated in largest JeM camp in Balakot. "The camp was led by Maulana Yusuf Azhar alias Ustad Ghauri, the brother-in-law of JeM Chief Masood Azhar."

Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday praised the pilots of the Indian Air Force (IAF) following reports that they crossed the Line of Control (LoC) with their fighter jets and returned after dropping a payload in Pakistan.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah called it "wow", and added, "if this is true this was not a small strike by any stretch of the imagination but will wait for official word, should any be forthcoming."

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said he was proud of the Indian army. In his reaction on the report, the CM said, "We have told Pakistan that our martyrs' sacrifice will not go waste. I am an Indian and I feel proud today. I am waiting for more information, but I feel proud of what information I have got till now."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee hailed the Indian Air Force (IAF) for carrying out air strikes in Pakistan. "IAF also means India's Amazing Fighters. Jai Hind," Banerjee tweeted.

 Punjab Chief Minister also lauded the IAF. In a tweet, the CM said: "Great job by the Indian Air Force. The IAF Strikes have sent the much needed signal to Pakistan and the terrorists it's harbouring – don't think you can get away with acts like the Pulwama attack. Bravo to the IAF men and my full support for the action."
