INS Vela, The New Scorpion Class Submarine Inducted into the Indian Navy

Today is a happy day for the Indian Navy.  The Indian Navy has got a new submarine. The name of this submarine is INS Vela. This submarine has been built by the government-owned Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL). It was given a grand welcome upon joining the Navy. On this, the officers of the Navy hoisted the flag. This submarine will protect against enemies at sea.

INS Vela is the fourth Scorpene-class submarine built by MDL

The Navy said in its statement that keeping in mind the alert, brave and victorious, the submarine will carry out its work. Will inspire the driver to bravely face the challenges ahead. Along with this, it will give the message of winning victory with caution. INS Vela is the fourth Scorpene-class submarine built by MDL in collaboration with the Naval Group of France. This submarine is a part of India's self-reliant India project.

Its construction started in July 2009. The submarine was named INS Vela in May 2019. It is this lash of many types of machines and weapons. Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh inducted this submarine into service. Along with this, the flag of the Navy was hoisted on it.
