The Indian Navy is going to get the strength of INS Khanderi soon. INS Khanderi is the second diesel-electric submarine in the Scorpion category of France Origin. It is part of the Indian Navy's Project 75, under which the Mazhaganv Dockyard Limited is building six submarines in collaboration with M / s DCNS of France. INS Khanderi will be inducted into the Indian Navy on 28 September. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be the chief guest during this period. Project 17 A

Meanwhile, a war vessel will also be launched for trials at sea. This war vessel belongs to Shivalik Class stealth fgigate and is part of Project 17A. The INS Khanderi submarine weighing 1615 tonnes is the second submarine after INS Kalavari of the same category. INS Kalvari was inducted into the Navy in December 2017. Tell you here that the Scorpene Submarine Program has been named as Project 75. However, this program is running about five years behind schedule. 25,700 crore is to be spent on this entire program. After INS Khanderi, two more submarines will join the Indian Navy in the year 2022-2023. In addition to INS Kalavari are INS Chakra and INS Arihant Nuclear Powered Submarine. As far as Khanderi is concerned, it is also scheduled to join the Indian Navy after a year from the scheduled time.

It has EXOCETSM 39 missile and torpedo firing facility. EXOCETSM 39 is the Anti Ship Missile. This missile has a strike range of 50 km. It kills enemies at very high speeds while flying at low altitudes in the air. Weighing 655 kg, the missile is about 4.69 meters long. Apart from this, it also has 30 anti ship mines.

The INS Khanderi gets a power of 37 km per hour or 20 knots from the four MTU 12V 396 SE84 diesel engines fitted to it. Apart from this, it has 360 batteries. This submarine can remain in the sea for 50 days. It has accommodation for eight officers and 35 cellars. It has a state-of-the-art radar system. Let us tell you that India currently needs 18 diesel electric and six nuclear submarines. Apart from this, India also needs four nuclear submarines from which long-range ballistic missiles can be fired.
