Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan Wednesday said India's objection on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor was of a political nature.

The actual pain for 
India was that Pakistan would become a center of world trade and economic activities after the conclusion of the CPEC project and would be associated with many continents through Gawadar Port, he said while delivering a lecture on CPEC to officers and executives of State Bank of Pakistan here.


CPEC would help highlight the Kashmir disagreement at international forums besides socio-economic fortify of the people in the area as India had accepted Kashmir as disputed territory by raising objection against the project, he added.

He said CPEC was a big monetary project and its benefits could be obtained only through the better working of all the economic sectors.



He said the AJK had been given four mega projects under CPEC including two energy projects, an industrial zone in Mirpur and a road from Mansehra- Muzaffarabad to Mirpur.

He was making hard work to include more projects of agriculture and tourism sectors counting a project of tourism corridor that could change the socio-economic state of the region, he added.

Meanwhile, talking to an allocation of local traders and civil society activists, the AJK president guaranteed the people to resolve all issues related to commissioning of Neelum-Jhelum power project (NJHP) and planned Kohala influence project with the organization of federal government.



The designation headed by Sardar Razaq Khan Mughal was consisted of Mir Imtiaz Ahmad, Basharat Khan Mughal, Ashfaq Khan Tareen, Khawaja Farooq Qaderi, Samia Sajid, Tanveer Quraishi, Altaf Mughal, Malik Waheed Arif Lone, Shafeeq Quraishi, and Pervaiz Iqbal Zargar appraised the President about their reservations.
