Seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in two separate terrorist attacks in Pakistan's Balochistan province. This information was given in an official statement released on Tuesday. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan military's media department, said militants blew up an IED blast on a Frontier Corps vehicle in the Pir Gab area on Monday night, killing six Pakistani army soldiers.
Another soldier died in an encounter with militants in a separate incident in the catchment area of Balochistan. The incident took place early in the morning when security forces personnel were fencing the border. Balochistan is located in the southwestern part of Pakistan and shares its border with Afghanistan and Iran and is the largest and poorest province of Pakistan, whereas Baloch nationalists often target security forces.
