According to the latest survey report, the ratio of weaker children due to malnutrition has declined by about two percent in the financial year 2017-18 to 34.70 percent. Earlier, in ten years it was reduced by the rate of one percent annually. A senior government official said that due to the government campaign, this reduction in the interruption of physical development of children has resulted in malnutrition.

According to the National Family Health Survey 2015-16 data, the proportion of children with lower length and weight due to malnutrition decreased from 48 percent in 2004-05 to 38.40 percent in 2015-16. On condition of anonymity, the official said that a survey conducted by the UNICEF and Health Ministry showed that the proportion of children with malnourished children with malnutrition reduced from 38.40 percent in 2015-16 to 2017-18 34.70 percent has come. The official said that in the proportion of malnourished children, the rate of deficiency of nearly two percent has been achieved in the proportion of the weak children, in such a way the government's goal of 'nutrition campaign' has started to look small. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the nutrition campaign in March 2018. Its goal is to reduce malnutrition from 38.4 percent in 2015-16 to 25 percent in 2022.

Improvement in the ranking of Anemia in Women

The official said that the survey also found improvement in other major health indicators such as lack of blood in women (anemia).
