Dasarath Singh of Rajasthan Achieved 51 Degrees, Despite 16 Years of Army Job

This achievement was achieved by the Brave soldier of Rajasthan Dr. Dasharatha Singh. He has recently been named in the International Book of Records as the "Most Educational Qualified Person of the World". This record book has included 36 of his degrees in the record book with his name. He has also applied for the Guinness Book and the process of investigating his claim is going on from Guiness Book team.

Dr. Dasharath Singh has so far obtained degrees, diplomas and certificates mainly on land reforms, PhD in 15 subjects, Masters in 15 subjects, Graduation in 8, 11 in law and 8 in military related subjects. Apart from this, he has been selected as a second class teacher in Rajasthan and also in the Rajasthan Administrative Service, but he has leaved these government services these days and working as a legal advisor in the Army's Southwest Command.

Dasarath Singh, a resident of Khirodsar village of Nawalgarh tehsil of Jhunjhunu district has given field duty in the army continuously for 16 years. Dasrath Singh, who was a soldier of the nine Rajputana regiments of the army, got his first posting in Punjab. Subsequently, he lived in Assam during the ULFA movement. He was then included in the first batch of Rashtriya Rifles and sent to Kashmir. Here he spent three and a half years in a terror-prone area like Doda. After continuous field duty, he was sent to Lucknow for some time, but during this time, when the attack on Parliament happened, he was sent back to Kashmir and later he was involved in Kargil war. He retired from the army after serving the army for nearly 16 years.

Dasarath Singh said that he was fond of reading since childhood, but had no money. Grandfather and father were also in the army, but the family was quite large. He did his tenth, but went into the army only after his first year in college. Despite being in the army, it was tight that he could not complete his studies. In order to fill this gap, he started a series of studies. The first degree was taken in Bachelor of Arts and since then the process of continuous studies has continued. The last degree is an MA in Sociology and currently doing a diploma in Gandhi Peace Studies.

Dasharatha Singh holds LLB, LLM, BJMC and B.Ed degrees as a regular student, the rest of the degrees and diplomas from Indira Gandhi Open University, Kota Open University, Jain Vishwa Bharati Ladnun and two-three private universities. He told that during the service of the army, he used to give the examination of the same university, but now two-three courses run simultaneously. He has given more than 500 examinations so far and almost all of them have passed with 50 to 75 percent marks .
