District Magistrate of Darbhanga district of Bihar, Thyagarajan SM, has been threatened to shoot on Facebook and a reward of two lakh rupees has been announced. On Thursday, on the official Facebook page of the Darbhanga District Magistrate, the District Magistrate wrote that people from outside the state should be screened in the city saying, "People from outside the state will be screened in the city on Friday." The District Magistrate had appealed the true citizens to come forward to investigate in the interest of the country.

On the official page of District Magistrate Darbhanga, "A meeting was held with the Municipal Commissioner and Ward Councilors today (Thursday) to identify infected suspects to prevent the spread of corona virus disease."

It was further written that, "In this meeting, it was decided to conduct screening tomorrow (Friday) by the medical team of people living here from outside the state. Suspected people are being investigated fast in the entire district." In the comments after this post, many people appreciated and welcomed the DM's initiative but one person was hurt by it.

The man named Mohammad Faisal responded by threatening to shoot the District Magistrate. Faisal wrote, "I will give two lakh rupees to the one who shot the DM of Darbhanga." An attempt was made to talk to the District Magistrate in this regard but could not be reached. However, according to police sources, the matter is being investigated.
