 Step 1:

To make this dish at home, first wash the lentils and remove excess water from them. Now put the lentils in the pressure cooker by adding water and a pinch of salt to the stove. When the lentils boil, mash it.

 Step 2:

Now put water and spinach in a saucepan and keep it on the gas to cook. When the spinach starts to fry, put a little oil in a pan and keep it on medium flame, when the oil gets hot, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and fry them. When it starts crackling, add onion, green chilli and ginger garlic paste and fry it on a low flame for a minute. If you like the smokey flavor of onion, then cook the onion while stirring for some more time.

Step 3:

After this, add a little salt and garam masala powder along with ground spinach and ripe dal and stir it slowly and mix well. Cover and cook for a few minutes then remove from the heat. Add lemon juice and mix again. If you do not want to use lime juice then you can add mango powder in it, this gives tangy flavor to your recipe. Finally garnish the dish with finely chopped coriander leaves and green chillies. You can serve it with a side dish of your choice.
