Dal Fry: Try Restaurant-Style Recipe at Home

Everyone likes Dal fry. Due to the spices added to it, its taste becomes even more delicious and spicy. People who love to eat dal also eat dal fry tastefully.

 Total Time: 50 minutes

 Servings: 3 people

Ingredients:

100 gram arhar dal

1 cup water

1 tomato

1 onion

2 green chillies

8 curry leaves

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp red chilli

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/4 tsp asafoetida

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

2 tsp oil

Salt to taste

1. To make this, first, clean the lentils and soak them in clean water and keep them for a while.

2. After soaking 10-15 minutes, put the lentils in the cooker, add some water and salt and keep it on the gas. Turn off the gas after 2-3 whistles, but do not open the lid, this will release the pressure. Wait for the pressure to come out on its own.

3. Now finely chop the onion, tomatoes. Take a cauldron and keep it on the gas. Add some oil in it; When the oil is hot, add cumin and asafetida as well as hard leaves and fry it by adding chopped onions. Until the onion becomes light golden.

4. After doing so add ground ginger garlic paste, green chilli and fry well. When done, add chopped tomatoes and salt and fry it so that the tomatoes melt properly.

5. Now add coriander, red chilli, garam masala, turmeric and mix it well. Now add boiled lentils and mix.

6. Add 2 cups of water to this mixture and leave the lentils to cook. After 4-5 minutes your pulse will be cooked.

7. Turn off the gas. Your hot dal fry is ready.
