Sandbox has announced a collaboration with skateboarding superstar Tony Hawk to develop the Metaverse's largest skatepark. The Sandbox team announced the news in the tweet below, with Tony Hawk appearing in a brief video stating that they are creating the largest skatepark in the Metaverse.
'You have never seen skating like this,' Mr. Hawk continued. I'll catch up with you in the Metaverse.'
Sandbox also mentioned a partnership with the Autograph.io NFT project in their announcement. It stated:
“By using @Autograph NFTs you’ll also get access to @tonyhawk LANDs, exclusive rewards, skateboards, avatars, and more! Plus the chance to attend special events set in Tony-hood!”
Sandbox's collaboration with Tony Hawk comes only a few weeks after the metaverse project revealed another collaboration with Playboy to develop a MetaMansion filled with exclusive NFTs and unforgettable experiences for the Rabbit Playboy NFT community. The statement was made on Monday, and the Playboy team also hinted at the possibility of a land mint shortly.
Sandbox announced another cooperation with South Korean KEB Hana Bank to create a virtual branch at the Sandbox Metaverse on the same day as the Playboy announcement. The virtual branch will 'offer basic banking services as well as encourage investment or coloration possibilities with The Sandbox's other partners.' The Hana Financial Group will also profit from an introduction to the K-verse, a virtual environment comprising South Korean material, to target Zoomers (generation Z).
Sandbox then announced a collaboration with Bushidos to bring samurai pop-inspired NFT art to the Metaverse.
