When it comes to Play-to-Earn, India has taken the top rank (P2E). According to a recent poll, 34% of Indian respondents had played a P2E game.
NFT gaming is also popular in Hong Kong (29%) and the United Arab Emirates (27 percent ).
On the opposite end of the spectrum, only 4% of respondents in Sweden said they had dabbled with NFT games. France (6%) has similarly had a modest uptake thus far.
All of this is according to the Finder's NFT Gaming Adoption Report. Finder.com questioned 43,312 people from 26 different countries.
Keegan Francis is the cryptocurrency editor at Finder. According to him, P2E usage in Hong Kong is already double the global average of 14 percent. And he believes it will expand.
"A further 8% of Hong Kongers aim to utilize a P2E NFT game by the end of the year, implying that usage might soon reach 36%." Men are more likely than women to participate in P2E in Hong Kong. "31 percent of males said they played to make money, compared to 27 percent of women a 4 percentage point difference."
While India and Hong Kong compete for first place, the UAE is climbing the rankings (27 percent ). The Philippines follows, with a difference of only two percentage points (25 percent ).
According to Finder, "P2E is on the increase internationally, with adoption expected to climb 10% on average."
"For novice players, there are a variety of platforms to pick from, each with its own set of mechanics," says Francis. Some are completely free to play, while others, such as Axie Infinity, need an upfront payment.
If you want to play a game but can't afford the entrance fee, such as Axie NFTs, you might want to consider joining a Guild. Guilds allow students to play games like Axie Infinity for free by lending you the necessary NFTs, and you are then typically entitled to a portion of the revenue while the remainder goes to the guild."
