A similar event took place in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday in which a huge crowd of people gathered to welcome Jain sage Paramanasagar. People were violating physical distance rules. Sagar ASP Praveen Bhuria said that instructions have been given to investigate the matter and action has also been taken against the organizers for the same. This type of violation has also been seen in Uttarakhand where crowds of people had gathered in Badrinath temple. The crowd of devotees did not even care about physical distance.

The death toll due to this infection is 2649 nationwide. Talking about Karnataka, there are 987 active cases of Novel Coronavirus infection. The number of healthy people is 460. Due to this the death toll in the state is 35.
