Jaipur Police has arrested the accused who stole Rs 1 crore from the Manak Chowk area of ​​the city. The accused is a resident of Bihar. He was living in Bangladesh for the last few years. Jaipur Police arrested him from Kanpur in UP and brought him to Jaipur on Wednesday. The accused was so clever that when the UP Railway Police interrogated him, he escaped by giving the wrong name and address. After this, the Jaipur Police sent his photo and the accused was arrested at Kanpur railway station. Earlier, the Jaipur Police had identified from the CCTV footage. With the help of the accused's accomplice Salim, she was continuously tracking him.

DCP (North) Paris Deshmukh said that Mohammad Razak alias Qudus alias Mohammad Jamiruddin (33) resident of Katihar Bihar has been arrested. To nab the accused, he had been identified on the basis of CCTV footage, but he was not getting caught. On the basis of this footage, the police first caught his accomplice Salim in Jaipur. On interrogating him, it came to light that he had left in the train from Jaipur with his wife and children.

DCP said that when head constable Surendra gathered information, it was found that he had reached the border of Uttar Pradesh. On this, the Jaipur Police informed the UP Railway Police about the accused. Here they gave him information about his appearance and wife and children. On the basis of suspicion, Razak was caught and interrogated, but he escaped by giving his fake name and address. When the Jaipur police suspected that the accused might be dodging, he again sent his photo. Based on this, he was caught at Kanpur station. After this, the team brought him to Jaipur.

The accused had stolen 1 crore from the jeweler's place in Manak Chowk about 15 days ago. Jaipur Police scrutinized the CCTV footage of the city after the theft incidents in the city. In which he was seen walking around wearing a lungi-vest. After this, the accused's accomplice Salim was caught by the police and with his help started tracking him.

Shocking revelations made during interrogation

On Thursday, when the police interrogated the accused, shocking revelations were made. The accused told that he used to come to Jaipur by flight to steal. Coming here, he would do reiki in lungi and vest for several days. Then stealing and leaving the flight. The accused has also changed the name of three marriages. Each time after the theft he lives with different wives.

Had three marriages, had left one wife

He told that Razak had married a Bangladeshi woman. While one wife lives in Bihar. He also had a marriage in Bangladesh, but later he left his wife. He had been living in Dinajpur in Bangladesh for a long time with his second wife and children. The DCP said that during the interrogation on Thursday, the accused told that Bangladesh would have fled after the incident in Jaipur. To commit theft, he used to come to Jaipur by flight and go back with the stolen goods.

Came to know that more than 20 thefts

The accused along with his accomplice Salim has carried out more than 20 theft incidents. When the police interrogated him, he told that he has done so many incidents in Jaipur city that he himself has no idea about it. When the police officers took him around the streets of the city, it came to the fore that he had committed more than 20 thefts.

Changed the name of three marriages

The accused has changed his name for three marriages. The accused was so clever that he used to live with different wives after every incident so that the police could not catch him. He had done more than 7 incidents in Jaipur.

A separate hideout was also maintained in Jaipur

The house of a person named Salim, who lived in Shastri Nagar in Jaipur, was made his hideout. Seven cases are registered against Salim in Jaipur at Jalupura, Nahargarh, Kotwali, and Manakchowk police stations. The first of these cases was registered in Jalupura in 2011. Together, on August 5, 2019, they stole about Rs 11.70 lakh and two silver coins from the vault by breaking the locks in an office in Paliwal's street in Chaura Rasta. Then Praveen Kumar Jain, a resident of Sector 4, Malviya Nagar, had lodged a case at the Kotwali police station.
