Even after the enacting of law, the cases of triple talaq are not taking a stand. The latest case has come to light from Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh where a husband poured acid on his wife after giving triple talaq.
Due to this, a woman has suffered serious burns. The woman also has a small child.
In her statement given to the police, a woman has accused her husband Asif of harassment.
On the complaint of the victim woman, the police has started the investigation after registering a report.
The victim was married to Asif two years ago and also has a daughter. Asif used to harass her repeatedly for demanding dowry.
Some days ago, Asif had thrown her out of the house by giving triple talaq over dowry. After which the woman went to her maternal home with her daughter.
After this, the woman started living in her mother's house in Tanda.
At the same time, on Tuesday morning i.e. Aug 30, when the woman was bathing her child, her husband Asif came there and poured acid on her. Due to which the woman was badly burnt.
The woman was rushed to the hospital where she is being treated under the supervision of doctors.
In the statement given by the victim to the police, the woman has made many allegations against Asif.
