In the case of gang-rape of a 19-year-old girl in Bharatpur, the higher police station officer has been suspended. When the gang-rape victim reached the police station to complain about the accused, she was threatened and sent away by SHO Shravan Pathak. After this, the victim reached SP Devendra Vishnoi and told about the whole incident. Taking action on this, the SP suspended the higher police station officer late in the night.
The victim complained to the SP that she was going to college on November 29. Then two youths from the same village Himmat and Bhagwan came on a motorcycle. In the deserted area, both grabbed the girl's hand and closed her mouth and made her sit on the motorcycle. Himmat made the girl unconscious by putting a cloth on her face and both the youths took the girl towards the forests of Rupwas police station area. Where both of them raped her.
After the rape, both the accused left the victim near the college and left. The victim did not tell anything to her family members. On the second day of the incident, the victim's friend reached her house and asked the family members of the victim the reason for her not coming to college on the 29th. After this, the victim narrated the whole incident to her family members.
On this, the relatives of the victim went to the Uchhain police station on December 2 and gave a complaint against the accused, but the victim's family said that they were intimidated and chased away from the police station. Even after three days of rape, when no case was registered against the victim, the family members approached the SP and demanded action.
After listening to the complaint of the victim, SP Devendra Vishnoi suspended the higher police station officer Shravan Pathak with immediate effect. Shravan Pathak will remain posted in the police line till the time of suspension.
