UP ATS has arrested two Maulanas from Lucknow for converting Hindus through Motivational Thought. The ATS team was collecting evidence by interrogating them for about four days. Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI was also funding them.
The arrested Maulana Jahangir and Umar Gautam are associated with a big Muslim organization based in Lucknow. According to ATS officers, they used to target poor Hindus. So far, about one thousand people have been converted to religion, including a large number of deaf and deaf women.
A Maulana's hand has also come to the fore in getting two Hindu children to be forcibly circumcised and converted in a village of Rampur. Both are residents of western UP. A Muslim organization operating from abroad was also funding them. ATS is gathering information about them.
Both Maulana Dawa run an organization called Islamic Center. On June 3, two Muslim boys attempted to attack a priest at Delhi's Dasna temple. When both were caught, information was received about Maulana Umar and Jahangir.
This Maulana has got the students of the deaf and dumb school operated in Noida Deaf Society converted to religion by luring and luring them. A list of 1000 converted women and children has been received. Many children and women of Kanpur, Banaras and Noida have also been converted.
