At the same time, Priyanka Gandhi, who was arrested in Sitapur, denied filling the bail bond. She is still in a temporary jail. Here Rahul Gandhi will also visit Uttar Pradesh today.

She is scheduled to go from Lucknow to Lakhimpur Kheri via Sitapur. Rahul will be accompanied by Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Sachin Pilot. However, the Yogi government has not yet given permission to visit these leaders including Rahul.

Rahul at Lucknow Today

Rahul will reach Lucknow airport at 12.30 pm with a delegation of 5 members. The administration has permitted his helicopter to land, but he has not been permitted to go to Sitapur and has imposed Section 144 in Lucknow. On the other hand, 10 thousand farmers are expected to gather in Lakhimpur Kheri on the information of the arrival of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi. In such a situation, police have been deployed in all areas. At the same time, the internet has been stopped in Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, and Bahraich.

Priyanka raised questions about the arrest

Priyanka Gandhi has raised questions about her arrest addressing Congress workers protesting outside Sitapur Guest House on Tuesday night. She said- When a farmer loses his life in a struggle or movement, then we do not call him a deceased, he is called a martyr. She also said that BJP is afraid of the voice of the people. Hence, the home minister threatens the public, and his son crushes the farmers under the wheels.

Union minister clarified the incident again

Ajay Mishra Teni, the father of accused Ashish Mishra and Union Minister of State in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, has said that his son was not in the car. The driver was injured in the attack on the car and the car went uncontrollably and climbed on the people present there. My condolences to those who lost their lives. There should be a fair investigation in this matter.

Teni has also clarified the viral audio in which he is purportedly abusing the farmers. Teni has said that the full audio is not being played, I have never spoken abusive words against the farmers.

Formation of 6 member committee for investigation

A 6-member committee will investigate the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday. Inspector General of Lucknow said that Ashish Mishra, son of the state Union Minister has been named as the accused in this case. As per the sources, the matter is also to be investigated by the judicial committee. The committee's announcement for this will be made on Wednesday.

Post mortem report of the dead farmer of Bahraich 

The family of Bahraich farmer Gurvinder Singh, who was killed in the Lakhimpur violence, had refused to perform the last rituals on Tuesday, questioning the post-mortem report. DM and SP also talked to the family, but they did not listen. After this incident, a team of five doctors of PGI was sent by helicopter from Lucknow to get the post-mortem done again.

For the satisfaction of the farmers, 2 doctors stood by their side to look after them. After this, the post-mortem was done again at 4.30 pm, its report will come today. The last rites of 3 other farmers killed in Lakhimpur violence have already been performed.

What happened in Lakhimpur?

  • On Sunday, farmers had shown black flags protesting against Minister of State for Home Affairs of India Ajay Kumar Mishra. During this, a car had crushed the farmers. Due to which 4 farmers died on the spot. After this, in the violence that erupted, the farmers had beaten to death four people including a driver. A journalist was also killed in this violence.
  • A case of murder and criminal conspiracy has been registered against those15 people including Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni.
  • An agreement was made between the government and the farmers. The government has announced a compensation of Rs 45 lakh to the family of the deceased.
  • One member of the family of all the deceased will also be given a government job. Along with this, a judicial inquiry into the incident and the arrest of the accused in 8 days has also been promised.
