Along with this, 28 thousand beds with oxygen support have been prepared to deal with any emergency and 2600 ICU beds are being prepared for children.
Experts say that this strain of corona is very contagious. It is 5 times more contagious than the delta variant. If this variant comes to India then it could be the reason for the third wave. New variant of Corona arrives in Rajasthan
If a new variant of Corona arrives in Rajasthan, then the government has started preparations for it. This time the government is planning to generate 1070 metric tonnes of oxygen daily. For this, 550 oxygen generation plants are being set up across the state. At present, 415 plants have been installed and by December 15, 475 plants will be commissioned. Apart from this, a backup of 40 thousand oxygen concentrators has also been prepared. According to the Principal Secretary, Medical and Health Department. 450 metric tonnes of oxygen was consumed in the state in the second wave of corona in a day.
Oxygen beds from medical college to PHC
Recently, a report has been presented by Vaibhav Galaria, Secretary, Health Department, in which it has been said to prepare 28 thousand oxygen support beds in the entire state. These beds are in District Hospital, Upazila Hospital, Satellite Hospital, CHC. Primary Health Center (PHC) besides hospitals attached to major medical colleges of the state. In PHC, instead of beds with centralized oxygen support, arrangements have been made to provide oxygen to the patient from oxygen concentrators or cylinders.
More than 3,000 ICU; ventilator support beds
According to the Health Department, apart from the oxygen support beds. A total of more than 3 thousand ICU and ventilator support beds have been prepared in all the hospitals. On the other hand, in the third wave, this time the number of NICU, PICU beds has also been increased in view of the possibility of more danger on the children. If we look at the status of all medical colleges in the state, preparations are being made to have PICU 1109 and NICU 1460 beds. These ICUs will be ready in December.
