Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to provide immediate relief and financial assistance to farmers, laborers and small industries of the state which are most affected by the Corona crisis. In the letter to Yogi, she also said that farmers need to ensure the purchase of their produce along with helping in harvesting the crop.

Due to Corona, there are many such economic and social level issues, on which immediate attention will be given to the common man. Referring to the problems of the farmers, he said, "In the past, farmers of Uttar Pradesh were hit by hail and unseasonal rains. The Uttar Pradesh government had also announced compensation, but farmers have not yet received compensation. This compensation should be released immediately.

According to Priyanka, Uttar Pradesh's glass industry, brass industry, carpet industry, weavers, furniture industry, leather industry, hosiery industry, dairy, pottery industry, fishery-hatchery industry, other domestic industries have all suffered a sharp setback. She urged that an "Economic Reconstruction Task Force" should be formed to help small industries and bring the state's economic condition back on track.

The Congress leader also said that there is a need to guarantee economic support to the workers. She said, "There are complaints of not getting ration at many places, guarantees of giving ration to the holders without ration cards should also be done and rice, wheat, pulses, oil, salt and spice powder should also be provided in the ration.
