The Chief Executive Committee (CEC) of the International Cricket Council (ICC) will hold a meeting on Thursday through a conference call to discuss the financial impact of the coronavirus, as well as the schedule of the World Test Championship and ODI League. The ODI league was to begin in June.

The three-match series between South Africa and Sri Lanka would have been the first series to be held under it, but it was canceled on Monday due to the epidemic. It is clear that no e decision can be taken until the ICC finds out how many competitions will have to be canceled due to this epidemic that has stalled sports competitions around the world.

A senior member of the ICC Board said that the World Test Championship is almost half over and the Super League is yet to begin so we will consider several options with our members. But it will take time to make any decision. The senior official, who attended several ICC board meetings, made it clear that the calendar of the World Test Championship could be adversely affected if two more Test series are canceled.

He said that we have to finish the league stage by March 2021 as the final is to be played at Lord's in June 2021. India's position is the best as no series has been canceled so far. Indian Team is scheduled to play the next Test series in Australia in late November.
