West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar on Wednesday alleged that the state government had failed to maintain social distance and ban religious programs. He said that the lockdown protocol would have to be followed completely to deal with the corona virus, but the police and administration of the province had failed to do so. Dhankar said that in view of the failure of the police and the administration, the need to take this responsibility from them to the central paramilitary forces should be considered.
The governor tweeted, "Lockdown protocol has to be completely followed to combat the corona virus. The police and administration under the state government have failed to maintain social distance or curb religious gatherings in a 100 percent manner, so they must be shown the way out. 'The governor said that the lockdown should be successful and the central paramilitary forces need should be considered, it should be noted that there have been differences on many issues between Dhankar and the state government.
