Government will Adopt many Measures like Lucky Draw to Increase Vaccination

In order to encourage people towards full immunization, the government has planned several measures, including weekly or monthly lucky draws for those who have received both doses of the corona. The lucky draw may include prizes like kitchen equipment, ration kit, travel pass and the cash amount. Sources gave this information on Sunday.

The Union Health Ministry has also planned other measures which include vaccination at workplaces and providing badges to those who have had both doses. These badges will say, 'I have been fully vaccinated, have you got your full vaccination'.

States and Union Territories may be suggested to adopt these measures soon. Apart from this, there is a plan to include influential people who have got both the vaccines at the district or village level, so that they can motivate people to get the vaccines.

According to the officials, 82 per cent of the eligible population in the country received the first dose of the corona. And 43 per cent of the people have had both doses. There are more than 12 crore people who have administered the first dose, but did not get the second dose and the period of the prescribed interval between their two doses has also passed.

Serum gets permission to export 50 lakh doses of Covishield

The Central Government has allowed the Serum Institute of India (SII) to export 5 million doses of Covishield to Nepal, Tajikistan and Mozambique under the UN's Covax Global Immunization Programme.

Apart from these countries, Covishield will also be exported to Bangladesh under COVAX. Prakash Kumar Singh, Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs, SII, in a recent letter to the Union Health Ministry, informed that his Pune-based company has produced and stocked 24,89,15,000 doses of Covishield and the stock is available on the day. is increasing daily.
