Delhi Reports 305 Coronavirus Cases, Positivity Rate Remains Below 1 Percent

In Delhi, 305 fresh cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the city remained below 1 percent for the past few days. In addition, 560 patients have recovered, while 44 people died in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number tally has now increased to 14.30 lakh. Out of these, 14.01 lakh people have been cured and 24,748 have died. Currently, there are 4,212 patients, who are undergoing treatment in Delhi. Meanwhile, the positivity rate has also dipped to 0.41 percent.

Meanwhile, state health minister Satyender Jain on Thursday announced the cancellation of Class 9tha and 11th examinations. He said, "We reviewed about examination and admission process and took some important decisions. Class 9 and 11 examinations which were postponed earlier have now been cancelled."

More than 94,000 cases reported in India:

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 94,052 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 2,91,83,121. With 6148 deaths (highest in one day) in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 3,59,676.

The country also witnessed 1,51,367 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,76,55,493. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 94.77%. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.23%. There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 63,463. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 11,67,952. The active cases rate in India stands at 4 %.
