Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted and informed that till 8 pm, more than 40 lakh children have been vaccinated against Corona. At the same time, more than 51 lakh children have registered themselves to get vaccinated. Tuesday is the second day of vaccination of children. On the first day, about 40 lakh children of 15+ have been given the first dose. So far, more than 54 lakh children have got themselves registered for corona vaccination. Children in the age group of 15-18 years are also actively participating in this campaign. There is a long queue at many vaccination centers to get the vaccine.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged the children who got the vaccine. He tweeted and said, 'Today we have taken an important step forward in protecting our youth against COVID-19. Congrats to all my young friends between the age group of 15-18 who got vaccinated. Congrats to their parents as well. I would urge more youngsters to get vaccinated in the coming days!’

A large number of registrations and vaccinations are taking place. Children are happily coming forward to get vaccinated.
The vaccination of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years has started in the country from January 1. According to the Covin website, more than 12 lakh children have been registered for vaccination so far. Apart from registering on the Covin portal, children can register directly by visiting the vaccination center and they will also be vaccinated immediately.
Dr. RS Sharma said that till 8:25 pm on Monday, 51,52,901 children were registered for vaccination on the Covin platform. Vaccination was done at more than one lakh government centers across the country. Regarding the vaccination potential, Dr. Sharma said that there is no limit to the vaccination capacity in the country. There is a system of giving vaccines at 1,09,357 centers.
He said that according to the new policy, changes are also being brought in Covin. Right now, we have a policy for the immunization of children. From January 10, health workers, front-line workers, and people above 60 years of age who are suffering from many serious diseases will start getting the third dose of the corona vaccine. For this, we are making necessary changes as per the policy of the government.
