US added Israel to 'Do Not Travel' List amid Surge in Covid-19 Cases:

The US on Tuesday added Israel to 'Do Not Travel' list amid rising cases of coronavirus in the country. The State Department issued a travel advisory informing Americans about the move. The advisory list, which is updated weekly, is primarily based on the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Travel Health Notice (THN) and secondary factors such as commercial flight availability, restrictions on US citizen entry and obtaining coronavirus test results.

The US included Israel in the so-called level IV category, along with other countries such as Iceland, France, Laos, Thailand, Eswatini, Aruba and French Polynesia. There is a spurt in the cases of coronavirus in these countries. The number of cases in Israel has increased in the past few months. Despite the vaccination of more than 60 percent of the population in Israel, cases are increasing there.
