Coronavirus: New Zealand Cricket Board Advises Team Returned from Australia Tour to be in Self-Isolation

The New Zealand cricket team returned from the tour of Australia, has been kept in self-isolation for 14 days in view of the risk of coronavirus. The New Zealand Cricket Board gave this information on Thursday. The Kiwi team went to Australia for a three-match one-day series. The first match was played without an audience, in which New Zealand lost. The remaining two matches were canceled and the team was asked to return home due to the coronavirus.

The New Zealand Cricket Board said on Thursday that all 15 players and support staff who returned from the tour of Australia were sent to self-isolation. The team arrived in Wellington from Sydney on Sunday. Richard Brooke, PRO of the New Zealand Cricket Board, said that all 15 players and the rest of the support staff of our team returned from Australia have been placed in self-isolation. They have been strictly instructed to follow the rules of self-isolation.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern issued an order on Wednesday saying that every person returning from a foreign trip would be required to remain in self-isolation for 14 days. If no one complies, legal action will be taken against them.
