Amidst the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, India reported 3.52 lakh fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. This is the highest single-day spike registered since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 3,52,991 new COVID-19 cases, 2,812 related deaths and 2,19,272 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total active cases to 28,13,658, as per the health ministry update on Monday morning.
The total count of positive cases now stands at 1,73,13,163, including 1,95,123 deaths and 1,43,04,382 recoveries. As many as 27,93,21,177 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to April 25, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) informed. Of these 14,02,367 samples were tested on Sunday. The total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered stand at 14,19,11,223.
On Monday, the state reported 66,191 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 61,450 patients recovered and 832 died. So far, 42.95 lakh people have been affected by the epidemic in the state. Of these, 35.30lakh people have recovered, while 64,760 have died. Currently, there are about 6.98 lakh people, who are undergoing treatment.
On Monday, 22,933 coronavirus cases reported in the state. Meanwhile, 21,071 eople recovered and 350 died. So far, 10.27 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 9.18 lakh have cured, while 14,248 patients lost their lives. Currently, there are 94,592 patients who are undergoing treatment.
On Monday, 14,296 fresh cases reported in the state. At the same time, 6727 people were recovered and 157 died. Till now, 4.96 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 3.74 lakh have been cured, while 6328 patients have died. There are 1,15,006patients who are undergoing treatment.
