According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 25,166 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 3,22,50,679. With 437 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 4,32,079.
The country also witnessed 36830 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,14,48,754. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 97.51 %. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.34 %.
There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 12,101. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 3,69,846. The active cases rate in India stands at 1.17 %.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 15,63,985 samples were tested across the country on Monday. Meanwhile, a total of 49,66,29,524 samples have been tested so far till August 16.
Meanwhile, mass vaccination against COVID-19 is underway in the country. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, so far 55,47,30,609 have been vaccinated in the country. Out of this, 88,13,919 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
On Tuesday, 27 coronavirus cases reported in the state. Meanwhile, 73 people recovered. So far, 14.37 lakh people have been infected here. Of these, 14.11 lakh have cured, while 25,069 patients lost their lives. Currently, there are 467 patients who are undergoing treatment.
