Coronavirus pandemic continues wreaking havoc worldwide. According to worldometer.com, a total of 214,772,404 cases have been reported so far. Of these, 192,107,287 people have recovered, while 4,477,249 people have died.

FDA granted full approval to Pfizer-BioNtech's COVID-19 vaccine:

On the other hand, the Food and Drug Administration on Monday on Tuesday granted full approval to Pfizer-BioNtech's COVID-19 vaccine for people 16 years and older, making it the first in the United States to move beyond a state of emergency use. The decision will help the country to tackle vaccine shortage . United Airlines recently announced that its employees must show proof of vaccination within five weeks of regulatory approval.

UAE temporarily ban visa-on-arrival service for Indian travelers:

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday temporarily suspended the visa-on-arrival facility for Indian passengers, who hold a visa or residence permit issued by the US, UK or an EU Member State. Etihad Airways has given information in this regard via tweet on Monday. Meanwhile, Etihad's official guest relations Twitter account notified, "The UAE authorities have decided to temporarily suspend the visa-on-arrival facility for passengers who are arriving from or been in India in the past 14 days. We're working to update our website."

More than 46,000 cases reported in India:

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 46,164 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 3,25,58,530. With 607 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 436365.

The country also witnessed 34,159 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,17,88,440. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 97.63 %. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.34 %. Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the country stands at 3,33,725. The active cases rate in India stands at 1.03 %.
