In the midst of the Corona epidemic, the work of vaccinating people in the country is going on at a rapid pace. During this time, many people have also been reported to have dosed two different vaccines. Its reaction was not revealed, but the government and administration are now going to start a trial about it. In the next few weeks, there may be a trial to apply two different vaccines. It may include 8 vaccines, including Covshield, Covaxin, and Sputnik.

This has been confirmed by Dr. NK Arora, Chairman of the Covid-19 Working Group working under the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI). He said that trials of two different vaccines would determine whether the immune system could be boosted even more.

Looking for a better combination of two vaccines

Dr. Arora said that we are looking for a combination of two such vaccines, which can give better results. The vaccines that are currently being used are providing protection against serious illness, but are not able to provide the protection we expect from infection and viruses. There is a great need for testing on quite a few things right now. Both vaccines are completely safe in their place, but testing has to be done on whether they can be mixed and given. These two vaccines are made by different companies. So we don't want anybody to be harmed.

There are only 2 vaccines in India

At present, only CoviShield of Serum Institute and Covaxin of Bharat Biotech are available in the country. Russia may provide the Sputnik vaccine in India in the second week of June. In the first stage, Covyshield and Covaxin can be included in the trial. After this, 8 vaccines including Sputnik will also be included in the testing.

Can testing be done in the trial?

The trial will show that two different vaccines that can be applied which are made by two different vaccine companies will be more beneficial. Also, which vaccine should be given as the first dose and which should be given in the second dose. All this will be tested in a trial.
