Jinping has pledged to donate $100 million in vaccine doses under the International Vaccine Program. The name of this program is COVAX, which is being run by the World Health Organization (WHO). Under this program, vaccine doses are supplied to the poor countries of the world.

There are cases of the most dangerous delta variant being reported at this time. Last week, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lijian said that his country has so far sent 700 million doses to the world.
For the past few months, there has been competition between China and the US over vaccine's diplomacy. Earlier, US President Joe Biden announced that the US has donated 100 million vaccines to needy countries. From next month, America is going to donate 500 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
