Brazil to Start Final Tests of Chinese COVID-19 Vaccine

Brazil has approved the clinical trials of China’s COVID-19 vaccine. Brazilian health officials have begun a three-month trial of the coronavirus vaccine manufactured by Chinese pharmaceutical company Synovac Biotech.

Coronavirus epidemic continues wreaking havoc worldwide. Many scientists around the world are engaged in developing a potential vaccine for this deadly virus. The human trials of many potential vaccine candidates are going on in many countries including American, Australia, Russia, India and China. Many vaccines have shown promising results too. At the same time, Brazil has also approved the clinical trials of China's COVID-19 vaccine. Brazilian health officials have begun a three-month trial of the coronavirus vaccine manufactured by Chinese pharmaceutical company Synovac Biotech.

Synovac Biotech's vaccine will be tested on 9000 health professionals in Brazil:

Dimas Covas, president of the Butantan Institute, which coordinated the study, said at a press conference that if the vaccine proves to be safe and effective, Brazil will receive 60 million doses from China early next year, allowing 30 million Brazilians to vaccinate. Synovac Biotech's vaccine will be tested on 9,000 health professionals from 6 states of Brazil.

Let us tell you that human trials of about two dozen potential corona vaccines worldwide are currently in various stages. Let us tell you that Brazil is the second most coronavirus affected country in the world. More than 21 million people are infected and more than 80 thousand people have died.

BioNTech and Pfizer Inc vaccines candidate shows promising results:

On the other side, Brazil is also helping in conducting trials of the coronavirus vaccine, which has been disintegrated in a partnership between Oxford University and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. In addition, federal authorities on Tuesday authorized the third vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNotech.

BioNTech SE and US drugmaker Pfizer Inc. on Monday said their corona vaccine has also been found successful in a second preliminary test on humans. Both have developed T-cells that kill infections and increase white cell in the body. The first preliminary test showed similar symptoms.
