Air India Flight Arrives Karnataka Carrying 326 Indians from London

A nationwide lockdown implemented on March 25 to avoid the coronavirus pandemic, after two advancements, it now ends on May 17.

Air-India flights from London to Karnataka carrying a total of 326 citizens of various South Indian states arrived in Karnataka amid the lockdown enforced to prevent corona virus infection, an official gave this information on Monday morning. An A-I 1803 Boeing-777-377 (ER) aircraft carrying 326 passengers including three infants from London landed at Kempegowda International Airport at 4.41 am, a state government official said.

Thermal screening of the passengers who returned out of the plane via the aero-bridge was done. During this, all were seen following social distancing and wearing masks. They were examined here, after which they gave information about their travel history, health status and other details for contact. About an hour after the flight landing, all passengers were diverted to Star Hotels via special buses, here all these will stay in Quarantine for 14 days. Doctor by profession, Medical Education Minister K.K. Sudhakar was present at the airport here in the early hours to guide the passengers in completing the formalities during their return.

Three other Air India flights will land in Bengaluru as part of the Vande Bharat Mission, the government of India's evacuation program to bring back stranded Indian nationals.
