The army said that in the last two days a total of 405 Indians have reached their homes and in the next few days more people will be airlifted to their homes.

On Wednesday, a batch of 225 Indians who were rescued from Iran have been rushed to Leh airbase. These people were kept in the Army Quarantine Center in Jodhpur. All these people were from Kargil and Ladakh region and all demanded to return home due to Ramzan.

Earlier on Tuesday too, a group of 180 people from Jaisalmer reached Jammu and Kashmir. These people were also brought from Iran by rescuing and kept at Quarantine Center in Jaisalmer. According to army sources, they are being sent home in view of the holy month of Ramzan. Everyone had completed their quarantine period.

The army said that in the last two days a total of 405 Indians have reached their homes and in the next few days more people will be airlifted to their homes. Significantly, between 15 and 29 March, Indian authorities evacuated 1,036 people from Iran in five phases.

Of this, 484 people were kept at Quarantine Center in Jaisalmer and 552 at Quarantine Center in Jodhpur. Out of this, corona was confirmed in 60 people, after which they were admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Jodhpur, where their treatment is going on, whereas the remaining people were quarantined.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, 'The Air Force airlifted 485 people from Hindon, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on 21 and 22 April. The quarantine period of these people was over and after testing Covid-19, when these people found out to be negative, they have been sent home.
