Continuing the fight against the corona virus in India, the government has decided to give 5 kg free ration to the poor for 3 months. The government is monitoring the supply of ration for 24 hours. Solving problems with the control room, the government has distributed ration of 5 crore 29 lakh people and 97.8 lakh Ujjwala cylinders. Since yesterday there have been 31 deaths, the total number of deaths has been 339.

Punya Salila Srivastava, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, said that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, a provision has been made to provide 5 kg of food-grains to the people of their choice for the next three months, free wheat and rice as per their choice. Rajesh Malhotra from the Finance Ministry said that till yesterday, under the Prime Minister's Poor Welfare Package, more than 32 crore poor have been provided direct cash assistance amounting to Rs 29,352 crore. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, 5.29 crore beneficiaries have been given free ration. 3,985 MT of pulses have been dispatched to various states / Union Territories for distribution.

ICMR spokesman R.K. Gangakhedkar told that till now 2 lakh 31 thousand 902 corona tests have been done in the country, which took place in 166 ICMR labs, 70 private labs. The spokesperson said that we had also told earlier that we have a large number of kits that can last up to 6 weeks. We have found another installment for the RT-PCR kit that is sufficient in number, which we will be able to use for a long time. Additionally, we are ordering about 3.3 million RT-PCRs (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction), whereas 37 lakh rapid kits are expected to arrive at any time.
