Amid continuing controversy over the BJP listing free COVID-19 vaccine in its manifesto for next week’s Bihar election, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday hits out at the BJP and said that everyone has the right and it should be available to all Indians for free.
Kejriwal, while inaugurating a new flyover in Delhi’s Shastri Park and Seelampur neighborhoods, said, ‘The whole country should get free vaccine, the whole country has the right..’
Kejriwal questioned the BJP’s promise:
Arvind Kejriwal questioned the BJP’s promise and said what will happen to the non-BJP ruled states? Will not this vaccine be given free to those who did not vote for BJP?
He said that the estimated cost of this flyover was Rs 303 crore. But it has been completed for Rs 250 crore. The honest government of Delhi has saved 53 crore rupees of the people of the capital.
Nirmala Sitharaman issued BJP’s manifesto for the Bihar elections:
Significantly, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday issued the party’s manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections. The BJP promises that the vaccine will be provided free to all in the state if BJP comes into power. The BJP is contesting the Bihar Assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as an ally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Earlier, on the BJP’s promise of Corona vaccine, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi also tweeted and said that the Government of India has announced the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine. Kindly refer to the state-wise election schedule to know when will you get it, along with a hoard of false promises.
