COVID-19: Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez Tested Positive Again as PCB Conducted Re-test

Pakistan's 29-member squad is scheduled to leave for England on June 29. Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) conducted coronavirus tests for all players on 20 June. In this, 10 players including Mohammad Hafeez were found positive. After this, Hafeez conducted a test again, in which his report turned out to be negative. When the PCB conducted the second test, according to sources, Hafeez's report was found positive again.

Positive, negative and then positive in 72 hours:

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra tweeted, "Confusion is synonymous with Pakistan but this is taking to an all-new level. Positive, negative and then positive … everything in 72 hours. "

PCB can take action against Hafeez:

After the PCB's first report, Hafeez shared the report of the private medical center in which he had tested negative. After this, Hafeez refused to remain in isolation of the PCB. The PCB is considering taking action against Hafeez for breaking the isolation protocol after the second report came out positive. However, the PCB has not revealed all the results of the second report.

In the first report, these players were found positive:

Hyder Ali, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Rizwan.

Pakistan team will play 3 Tests and 3 T20 series on England tour:

Pakistan had announced a 29-member squad for the England tour. 4 players have been selected as reserve. The team has to play 3 Tests and 3 T20 series in August-September on the tour of England. The first Test will be played at Lord's on 30 July. At the same time, the T20 series will begin on August 29.

The team will remain Quarantine for 14 days:

On reaching England, the Pakistan team will remain 14-day quarantine in Derbyshire. However, practice will not be banned during this period.
